What To Expect?
Our tour will take you deep into one of the best jungles in Vietnam, where you can find the lost world of ancient rock configurations dripping from the cave ceilings. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Phong Nha – Tan Hoa – Hang Ruc – Ruc Ma Rinh Cave
In the morning
- 07:30 – 08:00: The first day of your Hang Tien exploration begins with a car pick-up from your local hotel in Phong Nha Town.
- 08:00 – 09:30: After a 1.5-hour car ride, you reach our Tan Hoa Office, where you will learn all about safety regulations, collect your gear, and sign a Release Form.
- 10:30: Your team starts the tour with a 1-hour uphill trek on a tricky path. After that is a hike down alongside the river for another 1 hour.
In the afternoon
- 13:00-13:30: You stop for lunch next to a beautiful river.
- 14:00: Your team overcomes the river and follows the path to Hang Ruc, where you find a stunning stream. You can do some short swims and see lovely flowstone cascades.
- 16:00: You make your way out of Hang Ruc and trek upriver to the campsite in Ruc Ma Rinh Cave. Your camp is located next to a beautiful natural jungle pool. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy a refreshing swim and take some great photos before the sun goes down.
- Later on, you set up your camp while our porters grill up a fulfilling BBQ dinner for you. Then, you have dinner and sleep to gain energy for your upcoming Hang Tien Cave discovery the following day.
Day 2: Hang Tien 1 – Hang Tien 2 – Tan Hoa – Phong Nha
In the morning
- 08:00: You wake up in your jungle campsite and have a fresh breakfast prepared by the porter team.
- 09:00: After breakfast, your team climbs over a field of boulders to visit Hang Tien 1.
- Within Hang Tien Caves, about 50 meters inside the entrance, lays a large chamber where the ceiling is beautifully patterned. The cave has two sections: The right-side section goes deep down and the left-side section has many gour pools.
- Keep pushing forward and you go through most of Hang Tien 1. Then, after going up a ladder, you will see the exit of Hang Tien 1.
- 11:00: Your team reaches the exit and trek through the jungle for thirty minutes.
- 11:30: You’ll head back into the subterranean world known as Hang Tien 2, where you first find many formations. Then, you trek about 300 meters into the cave to discover it.
In the afternoon
- After discovering Hang Tien 2, your team starts the back-home journey. On the way back, you will stop at the exit of Hang Tien 1 and enjoy a picnic lunch.
- You do a long trek for the next couple of hours to return home. When you reach the final road, cold drinks will be served to celebrate your Hang Tien Cave Tour accomplishment. Then, our car transfers you back to the Tan Hoa Office.
- 16:00: Upon arrival at the office, you’ll have time to shower and change into fresh clothes before heading back to Phong Nha.
- 18:30: The driver drops you off at your accommodation in Phong Nha. Your Hang Tien-Fairy Cave 2D1N Tour ends here.
